BHC & PNWU’s School of Occupational Therapy

Last semester, our team in Yakima collaborated with Wendell, an Associate Professor at PNWU’s School of Occupational Therapy. Drew shared invaluable insights on seating and positioning in adult manual wheelchairs. This semester, we’re diving into pediatric seating, power mobility, and more in Wendell’s Environment & Technology course. Additionally, we arranged for a demonstration of the custom seating molding machine, allowing students to observe the process of creating custom seats and backs for clients. Drew also facilitated discussions on various control mechanisms and provided students with hands-on experience by allowing them to test out power chairs.
