DeRoyal Hot / Cold Therapy Blanket Foot & Ankle

The DeRoyal Hot/Cold Therapy Blanket for Foot & Ankle offers optimal temperature distribution, insulation, and comfort around your foot and ankle. Its channel design allows the water to flow to the injured location making it ideal for helping to relieve pain and soft tissue swelling from trauma or surgery.

All DeRoyal therapy blankets are sized universal adult and are shaped and contoured for specific therapy locations. This blanket is specifically designed for use with the foot and ankle. They are also designed to be used on either the left or right with ease.

Designed to be used with the all DeRoyal coolers including the DeRoyal Jetstream Hot/Cold Therapy Unit.

Indications & Contraindications

Indications:

Cold Therapy: helps reduce pain and swelling in soft tissue after injury or surgery
Hot Therapy: helps loosen and relax tight muscles or stiff joints, helps prepare muscles and joints for therapy

Contraindications for Cold Therapy

- - Do not use if you have a history of cold injury (frostbite)
  - Incoherent due to sedation, coma, sleep
  - Decreased skin sensitivity
  - Circulatory syndromes
  - Polyneuropathy
  - Hypersensitivity to cold
  - Children 12 and under
  - Diabetes

Contraindications for Hot Therapy

- Do not use if you have history of heat injury
- Incoherent due to sedation, coma, sleep
- Decreased skin sensitivity
- Arteriosclerosis or atherosclerosis
- Abdomen of women who are pregnant
- Hypersensitivity to heat
- Local tissue infection, swelling, inflammation
