Our Story
BHC opened its first retail showroom in 2004 in Bellevue, Washington, and has gone on to open locations across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. The company’s consistent growth earned a place on Puget Sound Business Journal‘s “100 Fastest-Growing Privately Held Companies” list for seven consecutive years between 2005-2011 and again in 2014.
In the rapidly changing Durable Medical Equipment industry, Bellevue Healthcare is committed to remaining Truly Local – locally owned, operated, and rooted in the communities we serve. BHC believes in improving our communities by creating local jobs and serving our local communities. Many of BHC’s team members have followed Peter’s lead and have served in numerous roles within the company, from our local managers up through every Executive position. Bellevue Healthcare remains committed to Peter’s early vision and is collectively working to provide a long-term and sustainable business model that will see many more opportunities open up for our current and future team members.

Bellevue Healthcare prides itself on hiring team members that exude our core values in their actions daily. BHC team members are provided a solid foundation and growth opportunities through internal promotion and support of their continuing education goals, like ATP (Assistive Technology Professional) certification. BHC hopes that every team member will reach his or her full potential whatever their career path. Bellevue Healthcare has grown to over two hundred employees. Many have transitioned from delivery technicians to customer experience representatives, and on to managers, specialists, and members of our executive team. All Bellevue Healthcare team members understand first hand the delicacy and compassion that our customer’s require.

We strive to use our resources and property as if it were our own. Stewardship requires us to be careful with what we have been entrusted and to be honest if an accident happens.

We have been given the opportunity to provide excellent service to those needing medical equipment and, therefore, we must remember that our actions go hand in hand with our service promise. Treat others as you would treat your family. Someday each of us will be in situations similar to those of our customers and of their families. We can only hope that those providing the service we need will treat us with respect and help us maintain our dignity. BHC expands to Snohomish county opening our Everett showroom.

Spokane Showroom Opens to serve the inland northwest.

BHC expands to Whatcom county opening a showroom in downtown Bellingham.
2009
BHC opens locations in Wenatchee and Lacey, Washington.
2010
BHC opens its 1st location in Idaho (Coeur d'Alene) and on the Olympic Peninsula (Sequim).
2011
BHC opens its 2nd King County showroom in Seattle and 2nd central Washington location Yakima.
2012
BHC opens its 2nd location on the Olympic peninsula in Silverdale, Washington.
2013
BHC opens its 1st Oregon location in Portland and expands in eastern Washington opening BHC Pullman.
2014
BHC reaches 200 employees.
2015
BHC Kennewick showroom opens to serve the Tri-Cities. BHC Silverdale moves to Bremerton, Washington.
2016
BHC opens its new Headquarters & 16th showroom location in Redmond, Washington
2017
BHC Pullman moves to Moscow, Idaho to better serve the Palouse regions of northern Idaho and southwest Washington. BHC Portland relocates to a new larger showroom space.
2017
BHC Founder & CEO Peter Norman selected for Puget Sound Business Journal’s “40 under 40”.
2018
1st Annual Next Step Mobility Expo held in Bellevue, WA. BHC acquires Buri's Medical Equipment in Colfax, WA.
